Behaviour

A high standard of behaviour is expected and required. If, in the sole opinion of the Range Officer or any of Target Shooting School's staff, the behaviour of any individual places him/herself or any other person at the risk of injury then that individual will be excluded from the course/event.

 

Personal Data

Information collected via this site will be used by Target Shooting School for the purposes of administration and provision of teaching and under its obligations under legislation related to children. By submitting an application form you are giving your consent to this use.  Target Shooting School will not disclose any information to third parties for marketing purposes.

 

Section 21 of the Firearms Act 1968

It is an criminal offence for a person who is prohibited by Section 21 of the Firearms Act 1968 to have a firearm or ammunition in his/her possession at any time. This Section applies to any person who has been sentenced to imprisonment or to youth custody or detention in any young offenders institution for three months or more. A person sentenced to a period between 3 months and 3 years is prohibited for 5 years from the date of release. A person sentenced to 3 years or more is prohibited for life. It is an offence for a person to transfer, let, hire, or lend a firearm or ammunition to someone whom he knows or has reasonable grounds for believing to be a prohibited person.

 

It is a requirement of any person attending any Target Shooting School course or event, whether for airgun or firearms,  that they confirm that they and/or any child that they are enrolling in the course has never had a firearm or shotgun application refused or such a certificate revoked; and that neither they nor any child that they are enrolling is a person prohibited by virtue of Section 21 of the Firearms Act 1968 from having an airgun or firearm in his/her possession.

 

Use of personal air rifles and air pistols

The School supplies all airguns and consumables. No privately owned airgun may be used without the permission of the Principal, which must be sought in advance, with full details of make, model and calibre. No airguns requiring a Firearms Certificate may be used under any circumstances.

 

Cancellation Policy

All courses and events are payable in advance, and no refunds are available for non-attendance.

 

Cancellation by the School

The School reserves the right to cancel and/or postpone classes/events because of circumstances beyond its control. Under these circumstances students will be offered an alternative date, or at the organiser discretion, a pro-rata refund.
