Autumn Term Dates and Fees

Mondays 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm

Term starts: 13 January 2020
Term ends:  30 March 2020
Fees: £264 for twelve two hour sessions

 

Places are limited and allocated on a 'First Come' basis.

Two week Trials and Tasters for new students

The best way for a youngster to try the sport is by booking two full sessions (4 hours in total) at a cost of £50. If they continue for the term then the balance of the fees is payable.  If not you are not committed to anything further. Click here to book a Two week Trial.

Paying the Fees

To pay the term's fees for existing students or balance of the fees for new students click the "Pay Fees" button at the top of this page. Fees are payable termly in advance.

Class Structure

Each two hour session starts with a fun warm-up and then moves on to theory and practical exercises, ending with mildly competitive target shooting. There is a maximum of 2 shooters to each air rifle or air pistol and all students are fully engaged at all times. All students satisfactorily completing their first term will receive a Youth Proficiency Certificate in Target Shooting.

Duke of Edinburgh Awards

'Marksmanship' falls under the Duke of Edinburgh Awards Skills category. The School covers the required syllabus for the Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards.

Instructors

The course is run by instructors certified by the National Smallbore Rifle Association, shooting's governing body. All have current DBS checks and regularly coach young people.

Ashford Rifle Club can be found on Chart Road, Ashford TN23 3AE. The range is on your left after leaving the Chart Road/A28 roundabout, less than a minute's drive from the roundabout. Enter the gravel car park behind a beech hedge.
